Car Marks are long established - a pioneer in this unique business, our Company was born in August 1969. The Company has grown steadily year on year and relocated to its present Head Office 6 years ago.

We represent the ideal balance between a dedicated personal approach and a wealth of experience. Friendly and approachable, Car Marks are also highly efficient and hold an amazing archive of registrations, enabling very competitive prices.

Customer service is very important to us and we often deal with the children and grandchildren of previously satisfied clients from the 1970s and 80s. For your protection and peace of mind we are members of MIRAD (Members of the Institute of Registration Agents & Dealers) and have the approval of the Chamber of Commerce, the FSB, plus every major credit card organisation.

You will regularly see our adverts in the Auto Trader, Saturday Mail, Express and Top Marques, to name just a few. Our advertisement in the prestigious Sunday Times has been seen continuously since 1971, and that is a long time!

Founder (with a lot more hair and less weight!) in 1969 - The “golden oldie” of the Company his knowledge of the business is second to none; he even plans to write a book about the business when he retires. He can often be heard talking to customers he originally dealt with 25 or 30 years ago, discussing registrations with their children and grand children, and reminiscing about prices of bygone days.

Nicky joined the company in 1996. She possesses a multitude of skills and experience including sales, administration of transfers, valuations, stock purchases and attending government auctions. She efficiently controls our very busy internet department, ensuring all enquiries are promptly dealt with. Her friendly outgoing personality is always available to assist callers with their requirements and her ability to match people to their ultimate registration is legendary.

Lee has been with the company for several years now. With an array of skills including telesales and accounts she is also very experienced in the DVLA transfer procedure and is very particular that every transfer is completed correctly before being submitted to the regional LVLO. Lee ensures that all items of post are dealt with promptly and efficiently the day it arrives.

Our longest serving team member, Shirley deals with all financial aspects of the company and is also in charge of our dedicated after sales service. She also ensures our team leads in the Investors in People initiative for which we are very proud.

The “terrier” of the sales team, once Jo gets her teeth into something there is no stopping her. She will persist until she finds you the number of your dreams! She has extensive experience within the internet department and vast knowledge of computer programs and software. Specialising in customer care Jo always provides honest and reliable advice.

Nicola has been with us some time now and joined us straight from college as she wished to work in a Sales and Computer Marketing environment. Her duties include reception work, processing orders, updating our extensive database and assisting Jo in our research department.

Our newest recruit who also happens to be head of security as well as the boss’ pet is employed to watch over all the documents and stock that we have in house. He does not qualify for even the minimum wage but can be paid in tinned food and dog biscuits!
