When you have found your desired plate, simply buy online or call for advice, 7 days a week on 01482 222 223 .

If you buy your personal registration from us we explain all requirements and procedures and we will take care of the paperwork for you!

If the registration is owned by Car Marks or comes from a vat registered source, VAT has to be added. Registrations not subject to VAT are being sold on a commission basis, when VAT is calculated on the margin but not passed on to the client.

Unless you want to pay the Department of Transport fee and retain it, the registration is taken and held in suspense as to such time when it is re-issued to the donor vehicle.

We can provide your chosen registration number on a certificate which you may hold until you have a suitable vehicle. We will explain exactly what you need to do and what you need to be aware of. Registrations on certificates make wonderful gifts!

We expect all purchase agreements to be honoured, just as you shall expect us to honour our terms of business. However, we do recognise that situations can change and we shall endeavour to advertise and sell the registration on your behalf after it has been transferred to your vehicle or payment has been made in full.

You cannot make a vehicle look newer than it actually is by transferring a younger year letter. For example JON 246W cannot be transferred to a vehicle originally registered as SUE 294G as this would make it look younger.

The average time scale is between five days and four weeks. We ensure that every transfer is expedited as quickly as possible, but it should be noted that the transfer cannot be started until we receive all the required documents.

Yes. This is called a double transfer or back to back. It presents no problem for Car Marks but you shall need to immediately supply us with the documents of the third vehicle involved and an extra transfer fee.

Yes, all motorcycles (including mopeds) can participate freely provided the normal requirements of the number transfer facility are met.
