Acrylic Number Plates

From January 2003, changes in the Law mean that all reflective number plates must include the manufactures name and postcode on the bottom of all number plates.

Number plate suppliers will carry out checks and hold records of all plates supplied. When purchasing a number plate the following original documents will be required:

Identity Documents:

Photocard Driving Licence
or
Bank/Building Society statement
or
Utility bill

along with:
Paper Driving Licence
or
Credit/Debit card with photograph
or
Travel Pass with photograph
or
Foreign national identity card

Entitlement Documents:

V5 registration document
V750 certificate of entitlement
V778 retention document
V11 vehicle licence renewal
Authorisation slip issued by DVLA
Vehicle export certificate
V379 vehicle registration certificate
Letter of authority from fleet operators
Copy of schedule of vehicles from hire/leasing company.
